The all-new full-size flagship sedan, the Acura RL offers value, performance and luxury all in one package. Sporting a more modern look after its earlier redesign, the sedan is a technological marvel. The RL is equipped with a 290-horsepower V6, standard all wheel drive (AWD), excellent fit, finish, and a voice based navigation system. It offers leather upholstery, sunroof, power-seats, a 10-speaker Bose audio system in DVD-A and CD formats and climate control system.
Redesigned in 2006, the Acura RL remains primarily unchanged for 2007. The optional RL Technology Package has three leading-edge technology features, a Collision Mitigation Braking System, Adaptive Cruise Control and Michelin PAX Run-Flat Tires.
The Acura RL compares favorably on basic warranty of 48 months/50,000 miles and powertrain warranty of 72 months/70,000 miles. The RL is available in three trims the Base, Technology Option and Technology option with CMBS/PAX packages.
Superb All Wheel Drive, robust engine
Beneath the hood is a 290-hp, 3.5-liter (L) V6 with Variable valve timing and a variable flow exhaust system which enhances the engine performance. A 5-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters achieves 18/26 mpg (city/highway). All RL’s now have AWD drive as standard equipment.
Sleek, aggressive styling
At a glance, the RL ensemble is sleek and sporty, riding on 17-inch alloy wheels. Xenon high-intensity discharge headlamps employ Acura's new Active Front Lighting System, which swivels the headlight beams into corners for better visibility and adaptability. The new RL is based on the 2006 wheelbase. A more compact engine and other space-efficiency measures, has resulted in a cabin that is roomy.
Standard exterior features include HID headlights, active front lighting system (AFS), automatic swivel headlights, fog lights, cargo area light, map light, rear window defroster, heated mirrors, power mirrors, illuminated vanity mirrors, powered rear window sunshade and a power Moonroof.
Luxurious and functional cabin
The Acura RL is one fully loaded luxury sedan that includes a refined interior, sunroof, power seats and a 10-speaker Bose audio system. Seats are comfortable for cruising and supportive for hard driving. A retractable rear sunshade filters the sun on a bright, sunny day. The automatic climate control system appropriately adjusts interior comfort levels. All climate, audio and navigation information are displayed clearly. XM NavTraffic helps in traffic-jams by displaying real time traffic updates, which helps by showing accidents that are slowing traffic and road speeds on different routes. New to the American market, this feature will go a long way towards making navigation systems more useful to everyday commuters who do a lot of highway driving
Standard features include automatic climate control, rear heater ducts, power windows, power door locks, adjustable steering column, tilt steering, navigation system with voice recognition, Bluetooth enabled devices and steering wheel mounted controls, audio and cruise control. It also has leather-trimmed seats, leather wrapped steering wheel, power driver/passenger seat, heated front seat, fold-down rear armrest, Acura/Bose AM/FM Radio, CD player/changer, tachometer and outside temperature gauge.

The Acura RL is everything you would ever want in a luxury car. It is stylish, looks great, offers more than adequate power and handles superbly. The engine is nonetheless smooth and very quiet, while the five-speed AT shifts effortlessly.
Plenty of safety features
A full complement of safety features protects the Acura RL. Four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, seat-mounted side airbags for front occupants, full-length side curtain airbags and stability control.
Side curtain airbags and stability control come as standard, as do adaptive front headlamps that swivel up to 20 degrees to illuminate better around corners.
